Physical Activities
This tour involves little physical activity outside of our daily walking tours. We will do our best to accommodate all physical needs, however, please ensure that you are physically able to participate in those activities without complaint, if not then this may not be the best trip for you.
TRAVEL INSURANCE:
Missing a vacation is bad enough. Losing the money you paid for your vacation is even worse. Trip insurance is therefore highly recommended. Your premium is related to your trip cost, so you don’t have to worry about being over-insured. We recommend the Travel Insurance providers outlined below:
Payments & Payment Plans
All payments to Adventure in Black are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is because Adventure in Black has contractual agreements with hotels, airlines, and other vendors that will not allow us to obtain any refunds. This way we can keep our package prices low and allow you to make monthly payments on your vacation.
Should you opt-in to our payment plan program, your invoice will clearly note your due dates and amount. We suggest you put this payment plan on your personal calendar.
A $75 late fee will be applied to all payments made after the 3-day grace period. Your trip is subject to cancellation after two missed payments.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You may travel to Cuba under 1 of 12 pre-designated areas in a group. The designated area we are all traveling under is “Support for the Cuban People.” Please mark this designation on any travel documents upon entry and exit from Cuba. You will be buying from local businesses, learning about the culture and tipping your guides and local staff.
PRIOR TO YOUR DEPARTURE
US Citizens need a Cuban Visa to enter Havana (included in the package cost) If you are not a US passport holder please contact us prior to booking this trip.
Check (vaccination requirements) and confirm with your doctor or specialist prior to travel (Covid-19 Test & Vaccine Required by the Cuban Government)

Flights
Book your roundtrip flight to Jose Marti International Airport (HAV) as early as possible. Please make sure your passport is valid for at least six months beyond the date of your entry into Cuba. Plan to arrive no later than 4:00 PM local time.
Money / Currency
Cash is King in Cuba. Your credit/debit cards will NOT be accepted, so please bring enough cash for tips, restaurant expenses, souvenir shopping or any other miscellaneous expenses. There are 2 Cuban currencies: the Cuban Peso Nacional (CUP) and the Cuban Convertible Peso (CUC). Upon arrival, you can change your USD to local currency at the Airport. A detailed guide will be sent to you regarding currency and Cuba FAQ post-booking.
Notes:
Traveling abroad requires a passport valid for six months beyond your travel dates. In order to participate in this experience, you must have a valid passport with an expiration date no SOONER than April 5, 2024.
